Innovative Heritage

Project

Innovate Heritage was founded in 2014 with a transdisciplinary conference in Berlin, Germany titled Innovate Heritage: Conversations between Arts and Heritage. It took place at the Centre for Art and Urbanistics with attendees from 45 countries and partnerships with the German Commission for UNESCO, the British Council, the Brandenburg University of Technology, and Oriental Heritage Without Borders eV, among others.

Elliat co-founded Innovate Heritage as a research platform with Caterina Benincasa (Italy).

Since 2014, Innovate Heritage has gone on to have multiple partnerships with universities and cultural institutions in Europe, including conferences and publications. The project is still active.

While working on Innovate Heritage, Elliat managed an international organizational team, curated an open call and programmed for lectures, workshops, films, visual art, performances, tours and interactive art. In addition, Elliat ran outreach and communications as well as supporting organizational partnership relations, and ran the conference as a fully live streamed event (watch conference archive).
