Shifting Contexts: Ways of Thinking About Contemporary Performance was the culmination of the funding initiative Building Demand for Dance by the Doris Duke Foundation, fulfilled by On the Boards in partnership with artist Michelle Ellsworth and writer Claudia La Rocco with the support of MANCC. Additional artists featured in this video’s exploration of performance include Beth Gill, Tere O’Connor, Ralph Lemon, and Rashaun Mitchell + Silas Riener.
